. . .
by Robert Gass
I lose myself in this one and find myself singing along. It’s so centering and beautiful. As background music or for meditation…you’ll find many ways to enjoy this one. It is set it up so that it can be a sing-along, so it’s great if you’re leading a group and want to incorporate some ready-made chanting. And the bonus tack is seventeen solid minutes of Om’ing, it puts me into a cocoon of harmony.
From the publisher: In 1985 Robert Gass and On Wings Of Song released their first recording, Om Namaha Shivaya. Over 150,000 copies later, cited by New Age Journal as one of the twenty most influential recordings of the last two decades, Om Namaha Shivaya has been re-issued in an exciting 10th Anniversary edition. The new release contains the entire original album, plus a bonus track – an extended chant of the ancient Sanskrit seed syllable Om, with powerful Tibetan and Mongolian overtone chanting.
